EVANSVILLE, IN – JULY 14, 2020 – Technician.Academy and Randy Meyer Racing (RMR) have narrowed down applicants for the 2020 Respect is Learned© In The Pits contest and selected this year’s finalists. Contest finalists are to submit a short video that highlights their interests in motorsports and why they deserve to win. Based on these video submissions, two winners will be selected to work alongside the RMR team at the 2020 DENSO Spark Plugs U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, IN.
The annual Respect is Learned© In The Pits contest, sponsored by MotoRad, gives students the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pits with the winning drag team. Applications for the 2020 contest period opened up at the beginning of 2020 and closed on June 20th. Excitement for this year’s contest has continued to rise, particularly after such a successful 2019 season. At the 2019 NHRA U.S. Nationals, the RMR team took first and third place in their division, giving the winning students an even more spectacular once-in-a-lifetime experience.
2020 finalists were selected based on their passion for and involvement with the automotive racing industry. Once video submissions are collected and reviewed, Technician.Academy and RMR will decide the two winners and announce their names on August 13.
