This bulletin applies to several 2010 Chrysler vehicles including Caliber, Journey, Avenger, Sebring, Compass and Patriot.

The A/C system may be inoperative above 50 mph and/or the engine runs hot and/or overheats. This condition may be caused by a resin material (debris) blocking the primary thermostat housing port. Removing this restriction will correct the issue.

Remove the primary thermostat from the thermostat housing and inspect the thermostat housing port. If any resin debris is stuck in the port, remove/clean and reinstall the thermostat and housing.

*Note the location where debris may cause a restriction.
