According to the December 1, 2016 issue of the Lang Aftermarket iReport, newer cars and light trucks are annually driven more miles than older vehicles. For example, vehicles 1 to 3 years old average nearly 14,200 miles per year, with annual mileage dropping to 12,400 miles for vehicles 4 to 5 years old. Plus foreign nameplate new vehicle sales share of 27% in 2008 has surged to 55% of vehicles in the highest annual mileage age categories (8 years and younger).
